For scientists, researchers, industry leaders, policymakers and farmers to share knowledge, promote innovation and build partnerships for the growth of the Buffalo and Dairy sector.
Dear Distinguished Delegates and Participants,
It is my immense pleasure to welcome you to the 12th Asian Buffalo Congress & Dairy Asia Expo-2027 (ABC & DAE-2027), to be held from October 14–16, 2027, in Lahore, Pakistan.
The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Lahore, in collaboration with the Dairy Asia Expo, Livestock & Dairy Development Department, Government of Punjab, the Asian Buffalo Association (ABA), and the International Buffalo Federation (IBF), is proud to host this landmark international event in Lahore-Pakistan after a gap of 18 years. By bringing together the Asian Buffalo Congress and the Dairy Asia Expo under one platform, the event aims to bridge science, industry, innovation, and policy while fostering collaboration and promoting the sustainable growth of the buffalo and dairy sectors across Asia and beyond.
Pakistan is home to one of the world’s largest buffalo populations and the internationally acclaimed Neeli-Ravi buffalo, renowned for its exceptional milk production, superior milk quality, adaptability, and remarkable genetic potential. Buffaloes contribute significantly to national food security, rural livelihoods, and the agricultural economy, making them one of the country’s most valuable livestock resources. The theme of the Congress, “Buffalo for Sustainable Food Security and Climate Resilience,” reflects the growing global importance of buffaloes in ensuring nutritious food, enhancing climate-smart livestock production, improving resource-use efficiency, and strengthening the livelihoods of millions of farming families.
